Ebensu Foundation Supports Ankaful Leprosy Camp

Ankaful community has received many assistance from Ebensu Foundation in different aspects of their livelihood, with the most recent visit to the Leprosy community.
It could be recalled that some few months ago Ebensu Foundation was in this same community where a woman benefited from their flagship business program that supported her to expand her charcoal business.

On the 3rd of August, 2020 led by their abled CEO Mr. Ebenezer Mensah and his hardworking team, another historic visit was made to the Ankaful community and this time around, to one of the neglected community, the Leprosy Camp.

In his address to the officials and the inmates of the camp, Mr. Ebenezer Mensah hinted that he and his partners have observed from afar with great concern how the inmates in this particular camp have been without support for a very long time. He was therefore extremely happy that today he has been able to support them. The foundation donated cloths to the aged women among the inmates and together about sixty women benefited from this donation.

In a speech read on his behalf by the CEO of Ebensu Foundation, Mr. Ebenezer Mensah, the life patron of the foundation, Daasebre Kwebu Ewusi VII, the Paramount Chief of Abeadze Traditional Area and the Vice President of the National House of Chiefs, expressed his joy that finally the foundation has touched one of his loved areas of support and that is, the people who are in one way or the other physically challenged. Daasebre was firm that this is not going to be the end of such support but rather the beginning of sustained support.

The beneficiaries led by their officials thanked Ebensu Foundation for such a wonderful support and called on all well-to-do persons in Ghana and abroad to offer a helping hand to this wonderful foundation so it can continue to support them and others with similar conditions. In a special request the leadership of the community asked Ebensu Foundation to extend more of their programmes to the community to cover single mothers, especially with their business support model. This according to them will help single mothers to be gainfully self- employed so they can support their children.

The Ankaful leprosy camp is located in the Cape Coast Municipality in the Central Region of Ghana and it houses those cured of leprosy.

In his concluding remarks, Mr. Ebenezer Mensah extended a special appreciation to Madam Caroline Sfeir of Geosfeir Enterprisers located in Cape Coast Abeadze for her support towards this donation.
