The wonder book and the first Ghanaian authored book on emotional intelligence continue its spread and acceptance throughout the country. The latest on this drive was at the palace of one of the most powerful and influential paramount chiefs in the country, Daasabre Kwebu Ewusi VII who is also the immediate past Vice President of the National House of Chiefs.
In a brief ceremony held at the Abeadze Traditional Area Palace the seat of Daasebre, copies of the wonder book were presented to Daasabre, the members of the Traditional Area, and the teachers’ representatives. The author James Kwesi Addison was accompanied by Madam Eva Gyina-Bediako, the Director of Education in charge of the Ghana Education Staff Development Institute (GESDI), the headmistress of Mfantsiman Girls’ Senior High School, Mrs. Phyliss Simpson, the CEO of the VillageLife Royals, Mr. Godfred Ampomah, Evangelist Frank Gyedu Idun, Director VillageLife Royals, and Nana Abaiduwa Ofowa II, Odzikro of Abora Kwadoegya.
In his appreciation statement, Daasebre thanked the author, the Addison International, and its partners for the donation and urged all teachers and everybody present to study the book and put the wisdom gained from it to use for the betterment of all.
Daasebre was of the opinion that this book has provided an antidote to much of what ails most parents and caregivers. He concluded that with children’s emotional intelligence being taken care of, there’s a better way forward and a brighter future for all of us”. It could be remembered that in the year 2019, Daasebre sponsored close to over 240 teachers in his Traditional Area on emotional intelligence training facilitated by Mr. James Kwesi Addison.
