Odeefuo Afankwa III, Omenhene of Breman Essiam Traditional Area and member of the Council of State, was over the weekend congratulated on his new position over the weekend at a brief ceremony by the Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of Addison Center, an emotional intelligence coaching outfit in Accra.
Mr. James Kwesi Addison, accompanied by a team, including Mr.Kwame Baa Mensa, Director, Policy Monitoring, Evaluation and Research, National Sports Authority (NSA). and Michael Fiifi of Coastal FM at Mankessim, congratulated the Central Regional representative on the Council at his palace at Breman Essiam in the Ajumako Enyan Esiam Constituency.
He eulogised the leadership qualities of Odeefuo Afankwa and his efforts to see others progress.
“Odeefuo, my team and I are here to congratulate you on your elevation to another prestigious position in our country.
“Some of us are filled with joy for you for being someone playing multiple leadership roles, thereby attracting attention to our constituency and the region at large,” he said.
Mr. Addison, the nation’s first internationally-certified emotional intelligence coach, encouraged the chief to use his influence to attract the relevant assistance first to his constituency, described as one of the poorest in the country, and subsequently the Central Region at large.
He urged the people of the Ajumako Enyan Essiam Constituency in particular and the Central Region, in general, to support Odeefuo Afankwa to contribute his quota to the development of Ghana, Central Region, and the constituency.
Responding to the congratulatory message and the honour done him, Odeefuo Afankwa said, “I am most grateful for counselor Addison. I promise to do my best to the best of my ability. I pray for God’s blessings and guidance in the years ahead of us.”
The Council of State member went on to say that he would do all that circumstances would allow him to do to help his people progress.
He said he would discharge his basic role of being part of an important council that advises the President in the best interest of the country.
He thanked the people of the region for the confidence reposed in him and implored them for continuous support to do well in his new role and thereby do them honour in return.
The Queen Mother of Breman Essiam Traditional Area, Nana Efua Esiwa II, thanked Addison International for honouring Odeefo Afankwa and the Traditional Area. She further thanked the elders and the people for the support and encouragement that inspired Odeefo Afankwa to aspire to the higher realms of leadership and urged them to support him in his new role and position in a special way for him to make an indelible mark that would inspire generations.
