These are the 3 things I have come to realize are very important for your child to make it in life and you need to give or develop these in your child: 1. God, 2. Education, 3. Character.
Let us look at these variables quickly:
1. God: Every human being is brought here on Earth for a purpose and an assignment. And for him/her to fulfil that purpose, he will have to know and have a relationship with his or her maker/creator-God, for guidance and blessings to be successful in life. So you have to teach your child to have a relationship with God. John 3:16, Gen. 1:26-28, Jere 1:5
2. Education and training: Both formal and informal education are priceless for the success of your child on earth. No wonder, the Bible says ” My people are destroyed for lack of knowledge…” Hosea 4:6.
3. Character: your child needs a solidly built character in his/her personality. Character means the development of values such as: diligence, responsibility, Confidence, love, forgiveness, Perseverance, Persistence, the will-to-win, determination, tenacity, ability to use one’s mind to think and navigate through challenges in life, etc.
I believe when these 3 things are developed in a child, the child can be successful to whatever level he or she desires based on his/her destiny.
